Work Experience– 11 months
Designation- Graduate Engineer Trainee
Company- Varroc Engineering Limited
Your panel (number of interviewers/their background/other details):
Three male panelists.
Please mention the details of your PGDBA 2020 interview. (Please elaborate as much as possible. This will help future aspirants in the same way past years’ interview experiences helped you this year).
First, the professor of math asked to prove that 12 is a factor of (a+b)(a+c)(b+c)(a-b)(b-c)(a-c). I didn’t see a pattern, so I asked them to move further as I would just waste time. He insisted on trying, but I said the same. Then he said that he was done and forwarded to the next panel (my biggest mistake).
The next interviewer asked about probability distributions.
After the third interviewer had asked a few questions about my work experience, the first interviewer took over and said that the interview was over and that I should leave the call.
Overall, they wrapped up the interview in 10-15 mins.

The questions were –
1. What is a Bernoulli variable and ?
2. What is a negative binomial distribution?
3. What is the memoryless property?
4. What is a geometric distribution?
They gave me an example – basic flipping a coin and asked what that distribution was.
They asked what did I know about hypothesis testing, and I was clear on that.
