Eligibility
Students have to meet the following requirements for admission:
- Candidate should have graduated from a recognized university or institution with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent. The criteria for SC and ST category is 45% marks or equivalent greade.
- Candidate should have mathematics as a compulsory subject in 12th standard.
- For Kashmir Migrants: Candidates have to submit a copy of their migration certificate. The relief commissioner or competent authority should sign it.
- For Person with Disability (DA): Candidates who apply for admission under this category have to submit a competent authority certificate. It should clearly state that the disability is more than 40% and is permanent.
ADMISSION PROCESS
The Selection process takes place in two steps.
Step I: SNAP Test
- Each student interested in admission to SCIT must appear for Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test 2019. It is a common written test for admission to all Symbiosis postgraduate institutes.
- Interested candidates are required to register and pay online for SNAP (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) Examination, 2019. SNAP 2019 test fee is INR 1500/- and is a non-refundable amount. For more details, please visit the official SCIT website.
- Candidate has to also apply for SCIT in the same application form while registering for SNAP. The student must pay a registration fee of Rs. 1000/- for each program that the aspirant wishes to apply. Otherwise, the university will not consider the candidate for short-listing for the GE (Group Exercise), PI-WAT (Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test) process for the respective program (s).
- Candidates are required to preserve the Admit Card of the SNAP Test for further selection process at SCIT. Appearing for the SNAP Test does not automatically qualify a candidate for the next step in the selection process at SCIT.
Step II: Selection Process at SCIT
Candidates are shortlisted based on their SNAP scores and called for the selection process at SCIT, Pune. As per the scheduled dates, the university announced the shortlisted candidates on SCIT website. www.scit.edu They must fill the Application Form and book the slot for GE-PIWAT. The entire process takes place in PUNE only.
This process includes the Group Exercise, Personal Interview, and Written Ability Test (GE-PIWAT).
