Executive MTech in AI by IIT Jodhpur is a part-time AI course for working professionals.
With AI’s crucial impact on productivity, industries want to leverage its potential in industrial automation. Due to the increasing demand for a workforce trained in emerging AI technologies, IIT Jodhpur has introduced Part-Time M.Tech. (AI) program for professionals. The program allows professionals to study M.Tech. in a part-time mode while also experiencing the IIT environment.
Features of the Program:
Class Schedule
The institute conducts the classes in the evening or sometime during the weekends. A semester consists of 14 weeks of instruction, wherein a student can register for 3 to 4 courses.
Online Instruction
Students will attend online webcast lectures in a synchronous audio-visual mode. It is going to be an interactive experience for the students. Students will also get access to recorded lectures and teaching material after the sessions.
The institute will enable course management and offline discussions via widely-used tools such as Google classroom, Piazza, and Moodle.
It will take attendance through online mode.
Contact Weeks
The Institute has made two contact weeks mandatory in a semester. Students need to attend lectures, discussion sessions with instructors and demonstrate assignments. Moreover, the institute can organize these contact weeks in remote locations subject to higher demand.
Assessment
The students will be graded based on examinations(60% weightage), programming, theoretical assignments, and online quizzes(40% weightage). Students will have to appear for three examinations conducted during the semester.
Credit Requirement
Students require 62 credits as per the course structure to qualify for the Executive MTech in AI degree by IIT Jodhpur. They can earn the credits over a period of 3-4 years.

Eligibility
First, MCA/MSc (Computer Science or Electronics), B.Tech./B.E. (in any branch of Engineering) with minimum 60% marks.
A minimum of 2 years of professional work experience with sufficient hands-on experience in computer programming.
Selection Procedure
Firstly, candidates have to fill an online application form.
IIT Jodhpur selects students based on written tests, interviews, or any other criteria deemed suitable by the admission committee.
Having prior research exposure or industry experience in AI-related areas might help in the selection process.
Program Fee
The Institute charges INR 5,000/- per credit registered in a semester, and the total credit requirement is 62. Therefore, students have to pay an amount of INR 310000 for the program.

Students can apply online for the Executive MTech in AI by IIT Jodhpur program on the official website until 18 January 2021.
While submitting the application form, applicants have to pay the processing fee of INR 300.
