About IIM Kozhikode

Program Structure and Curriculum

The program covers fundamental, competency related, and integrative courses, structured to be delivered in about 225 hours. The courses aim at imparting management knowledge & skills to the participants covering the latest concepts and techniques in the specific functional area. Faculty from IIMK and distinguished visiting faculty from reputed academic institutions and industry handle these courses.

Program Delivery

The interactive learning component forms the core of EPGP. The Instructors facilitate the learning through two-way audio/video synchronous telecommunication mode from the studios set up at the IIMK campus. Instructors can use PowerPoint presentations, video, audio, and whiteboards to communicate the ideas and interact with the participants effectively. 

Class Schedule

Generally, there will be two sessions (3 hours each) in a week for each program. Students will get the complete class schedule before each quarter; so the participants can balance their profession and studies.

Duration

The duration of the Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management and Analytics (EPGCITMA) offered by IIM Kozhikode is one academic year split into four quarters.

Fee

Interested candidates for the Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Information Technology Management and Analytics (EPGCITMA) offered by IIM Kozhikode have to pay the non-refundable Program Fee of INR 2,50,000 plus applicable taxes payable in four installments.

Please note: Program fee doesn’t include the logistic expense to attend the on-campus visits during the program.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA or its equivalent in any discipline.
• 3 Years of managerial/ professional/ entrepreneurial experience after graduation as on the deadline for applying online.

Candidates should meet one of the following additional requirements apart from the criteria mentioned above. 

• The candidate should have studied a minimum of 3 subjects related to IT during the Graduation or any additional diploma level Certification in IT. OR
• At least two years experience (out of 3 years), preferably in the IT/ITES/Technology sectors or the organization’s IT Function.

Selection and Admission Process

IIMK selects candidates based on a personal interview, evaluation of the profile, and statement of purpose.

1. The institute will intimate the candidate shortlisted for the interview about the interview’s date and time through call letter after the closure of the online registration. 
2. It is mandatory that the candidates attend the online interview from the learning center opted in the application form.
3. If a candidate is shortlisted for admission to more than one program, admission will be granted to only one program based on its preference.
4. Request for changing the program is not considered after submitting the application form online or offering the admission.
5. Candidates provisionally shortlisted for admission to the program based on the interview marks are required to register the program and complete verification of the original academic and experience records specified in the list of documents during the in-campus module conducted at the beginning of the program.
6. Hence, attending the in-campus module is a mandatory requirement & the candidate failed to participate in the on-campus module is not permitted to enroll in the program.
7. IIMK reserves the right to conduct in-Campus modules via online medium if the situation warrants.
8. Admission offered is not deferrable to the next academic year under any circumstances.

How to Apply?

Before registering online, candidates should go through the program details, eligibility criteria & instructions to fill the application form.

• Register online. The applicant will receive the application number on the registered email id after successfully registering.
• Log in to the portal and pay the application fee.
• The candidate has to apply within seven days after the payment.
• Upload the mandatory documents in the portal.
• Take the print out of the application form.
• The institute will inform the candidate shortlisted for the online interview through Email/SMS and issue the call letter with an interview date, time, and center details.
• Requests for rescheduling the interview will not be considered under any circumstances.
• Candidates will be able to check the result of the selection process on the IIMK website.
• Candidates shortlisted for admission to the program can download the offer letter from the website after accepting the offer electronically. 
• Shortlisted candidates will have to submit all the original academic & experience records specified for verification on the on-campus module’s first day. Candidates will receive the originals after verification.

Please note: Students have to pay a non-refundable application fee of INR2000/-plus applicable taxes when applying online. 

Program Title

IIM Kozhikode awards the title ‘Executive Post Graduate Certificate in Respective Specialisation Area’ to its students upon completing the program during the Executive Post Graduate Certificate Programmes’ annual valedictory ceremony.

Placements

The institute conducts the final placements at the end of the second year for the final year students. During final placements, companies are allotted slots based on a democratic slotting process. The process will start in January. Students who get offers during lateral placements will be automatically signed out of the placements process and unavailable for final placements. A student on getting an offer during the final placements process is signed out of the process.

The relationship between IIM Kozhikode and renowned IT firms has been cordial throughout, with 21 companies visiting the campus this year. Google, Microsoft, Citrix, Microland, American Express, Capgemini, TCS, and Wipro were some of the prestigious IT recruiters who participated in the recruitment drive. Apart from the marquee recruiters, companies such as HUL, Bank of America, Standard Chartered, Shell, and PwC also opened IT roles.
