COVID-19 pandemic has hard-pressed the world to maintain social distancing. The need for social distancing has led a Jaipur based firm, RC Enterprises, to deploy seven humanoid robots and AI techniques to minimize human interaction.

The humanoid robot performs tasks like carrying files from one person to another, marks attendance using face recognition, takes the temperature of visitors using thermal scanning, and regulates their entry to the office.

The robot also sounds an alert if the visitor isn’t wearing a mask. The working of the entry gate and robotic guard’s AI are synced, the gate opens only when the robot gives a green signal.

The robot can make its way to the assigned employee by navigating on its own. They carry files, documents, and even tea and snacks in a tray right to their desks.

The robots are capable of taking the lift and go to another floor without any assistance and goes straight to the charging point in case they start running out of power.

Rames Chaudhary, the director of the Jaipur based firm, aims to promote safety, physical distancing, and hygiene through the AI-powered robots and fully automated doors, fans, and ACs.

Humanoid robots use the Internet of Things (IoT) and AI to do their jobs. The company aims are deploying more robots to do menial work like watering the garden.
