Microsoft, in collaboration with the social enterprise Tech for good, announced the launch of Startups AI for Good accelerator in Israel. In March, Microsoft announced the launch of a new accelerator, by offering expert training with an average of $500,000 in funding to select startups.
Mentors from around the country and across the globe will accompany these startups. Some of them include,
- Hampus Jakobsson: he has invested in more than a hundred companies worldwide and has been focusing on companies dealing with climate crises since 2019.
- Gal Hayes: he is the managing partner of Israel Bridges Israel Impact Fund
- Micah Baldwin: he has set up six startups that raised more than $350million, and,
- Venessa Bertram: Founder of the Zora Impact Investment Funds
During hard times like these, entrepreneurs needed the support that Microsoft’s program provides. Out of hundreds of startups that have applied, Microsoft selected 14 that combined Artificial intelligence and social impact, explained Raz Bachar, the managing director od Microsoft for Startups in Israel.
The company also said that it would offer preferred access to investment options to the startups that successfully graduate from Microsoft’s fund that manages over $100million.
