The cloud-access risk security company, Ermetic, announced an analytics-based solution that prevents cloud data breaches by automating the remediation and detection of identity and access risks in Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings from Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.

Gartner, a research firm, ascertained that humans errors like configuration mistakes cause 99% of cloud breaches.

Ermetic, with its scalable and precise approach, offers companies a solution to reduce the attack surface created by machine accounts and gives control back to the organization by using data science-based automation.

The analytics-based platform has full-stack visibility into identities, their entitlements, and data usage, which enables Ermetic to provide the following advantages:

  • Detect permission gaps between revokable privileges that should and those that should be maintained.
  • Map and decouple the relationship between identities and roles and generate effective policies to remediate cloud access risks.
  • Analyze all access activities to detect any suspicious access and alert the organization.

Ermetic can eliminate costs associated with determining the correct permissions necessary for all and manual effort by using analytics and automation.

Ermetic eliminates roadblocks related to manual efforts to enforce least privilege, improve security posture, and reduce the cloud attack surface. The platform is available immediately.

The company recently raised $10M from Target Global, Gilot Capital Partners, and Norwest Venture Partners.
