Microsoft introduced a new experimental programming language for the cloud called Bosque.
The project is highly inspired by TypeScript and machine learning for software development. The programming language aims to provide knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, Superset, and Node.js to cloud developers.

Mark Marron, the principal engineer behind Microsoft Research, conducted a live webinar on May 14 at 10 AM(PT) to discuss detailed progress and roadmap for the language.

The webinar will include information regarding the progress of the language and will delve into an intermediate representation (IR). Designing an IR that can overcome challenges faced during automated program reasoning is one of the aims of Bosque.

AWS, Microsoft, and Google should consider Bosque as it is adept at using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)(hardware accelerators.)

Despite lack of I/O and runtime utilities, Banking giant Morgan Stanley has shown interest in Bosque for Morphir.
Morphir is a multi-language system built on the data format. It captures an application’s business logic and domain model. Although Elm creates Morphir’s main front-end, Bosque is now giving it a fierce competition.

Bosque will improve developer’s productivity, increase software quality, and enable a second golden age of developments in developers and compilers tooling.
