Given below is the experience of Shashank Garg, who is currently pursuing the course in the batch 2019-20121.<\/p>\n<p><b>Name<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Shashank Garg<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Past Experience:<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Senior Business Development Engineer at L&amp;T Limited. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Senior Embedded System Engineer at L&amp;T Limited.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Your interview location<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Indian Habitat Centre, Delhi<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Your panel (number of interviewers\/their background)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 Panelists- One from each institute.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>How was your interview?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was the last person in the afternoon panel. The interview started with solving a Curved surface area of a cylinder. Then it moved to some general knowledge based questions on Indian Subcontinent geography, other countries&#8217; culture, and global politics. The interviewer then asked about my preparation strategy, asking how did you prepare for the interview, from which they were figuring out the next questions to ask for. The panel was trying to avoid the questions they have asked the whole day. So, post that they started asking some HR questions like why PGDBA being from the non-analytics background.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Topics Covered<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The next phase of the interview involved the questions on Calculus, Statistics, and Probability. The questions included solving a differentiation by basic formula, integration by parts and limits, continuity and differentiability of some exponential modulus function. After that some general questions on the comparison of two numbers e^pi and pi^e. The next set of questions were on general understanding of linear algebra, the role of basis vectors, Eigen values, Eigen vectors. The statistics questions involved random process and random variable and difference between the two. No questions were asked on analytics or machine learning to me. But other candidates were asked the questions on those topics too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Overall, it was an average interview. They try to find your weak points and grill you on that.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What technical questions (related to analytics\/machine learning) the panel asked?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">None<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What mathematics\/statistics questions did the panel ask?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The following questions were asked-<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Area and Volume of a Cylinder<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is a random process, random variable?<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Write 10 random numbers between 1-100.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Limits, Continuity, and Differentiability of exponential under modulus function.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comparison of two numbers e^pi and pi^e.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Linear Algebra basics: Eigen Value, Eigen Vector, Basis Vectors<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Did the panel ask you questions on general awareness or general knowledge?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes. The panel asked the following questions-<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Neighboring countries of India and map them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of states in the US.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Famous things of Canada<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Civilization in Mumbai in pre-historic times.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Did you feel that your interview was a stress interview?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>The Preparation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Divided my preparation into 5 baskets<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Analytics and Machine Learning<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Statistics<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mathematics: Calculus, Linear Algebra, Coordinate Geometry, Probability.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">General Awareness: Indian and Global Politics, Economy and Recent affairs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Self-awareness- Introductory Statement, Strengths and Weaknesses, and stories to support them, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>If you were following AI Monks during the preparation, did you feel AI Monks was useful at any point in time?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes.
