Such R&amp;D intensive and technology-based industries need executives with training and exposure in Management and Business Analytics. The Department of Mgt. Studies(DoMS) of the IISc focuses on catering to these sectors&#8217; needs. IISc introduced the Master of Management Program in August 2011. The course allows only engineering graduates &amp; mid-career engineers to enroll. Unlike other management institutes, the program emphasizes on quant-based research, technology management, and business analytics. But the fee charged for the year 2019 was INR 1,67,200 for the general category and INR 67,200 for SC\\ST category. The institute has not fixed the upper limit to the number of offers extended each year, but usually, it makes an offer of 30. The batch strengths of 2018 &amp; 2019 batches were 16and 15, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Research Facilities<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The IISc being a fine research institute, offers its students a unique advantage. The institute will expose its students to scientific processes, new technologies &amp; product development within the R &amp; D environment of the various laboratories of the Institute.
