Asia Pacific has named India third in terms of AI readiness. But how is the Indian healthcare system<\/strong> deploying AI during these hard times?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COVID-19 is at full pace, and to keep track of thousands of infected patients is getting hard. For this, the government is looking to launch a wristband, which will be linked to Aarogya Setu<\/strong>, the contact tracing app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Broadcast Engineering Consultants India (BECIL)<\/strong>, the government’s technology procurement body, plans to pitch the wearable device’s design to AIIMS and other government hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BECIL will work with undisclosed start-ups<\/strong> based in Bangalore and. Gurugram for the appearance of the wristband. The product will cost about INR 2,200 per piece. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Prime Minister Office<\/strong> has set up a committee to incorporate AI and utilize ML in the Aarogya Setu app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With AI-powered wearable devices, hospitals will be able to monitor <\/strong>the everyday behavior of the infected person. The tool is being designed to identify close, frequent, and occasional contacts efficiently, and gather locational data, too. If someone tries to remove the wristband, the health authorities will get a real-time alert<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government intends to develop a one-stop solution<\/strong> by incorporating AI and ML to support the Indian healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
